Power Rangers News Announced at HASBRO PULSE-CON 2021

Day 1 of Hasbro Pulse-Con saw a flood of Power Rangers news released!

First up, we watched an interview with the cast of Power Rangers Dino Fury, including show runner Simon Bennett. There was a lot of discussion about the return of Lord Zedd, and we got to see a very short blooper reel. But then we got a tease for Season 2. It was revealed yesterday via deadline.com that Season 2 would be exclusive to Netflix. Today, Simon revealed that Season 2 would bring new power-ups, there will be more developments in the character relationships, Zayto and Aiyon will learn more about what happened to Rafkon, and Zayto gets a new vehicle.

They closed the interview with 2 more reveals. First up, Tessa Rao revealed that Izzy is the first member of the Dino Fury team to join Power Rangers Legacy Wars!

Izzy Garcia is an Epic Attacker with low cost attacks and a scary offense. The mere existence of Athletics Assault in her kit is enough to scare the opponent into not turtling up with defense. Once she’s built up her super, she can use it to extend combos for outstanding damage. Depending on the cards that become available or the assists on the team, she can do some of the more devastating combos in the game. She lacks a counter, but if played just right, she doesn’t need one. She is now available in the game.

This was followed by Russell Curry announcing that Zayto is the first member of Dino Fury to become part of the Lightning Collection!

After the Dino Fury panel ended, we then had the guys from Hasbro come on to make the rest of their reveals. After first showing off the Walmart Collector-Con exclusive 7-inch Megazord figures, they revealed the rest of the first wave of Lightning Collection product for 2022!

Lastly, the revealed a new line that will be coming soon called the Zord Ascension Project.

Following the figure news, there was an interview with Ryan Parrott about the BOOM! Studios comics. Nothing new was really revealed here, but it is fun to hear how excited Ryan is about the upcoming Eltarian War storyline that will be kicking off next month.

Finally, there was the announcement of the Power Rangers NFT. Purchasing the NFT for $199.99 by October 24th will provide the customer with a special token that can be redeemed for a special black & gold edition of the Lightning Collection Zord Ascension Project Dino Megazord.
