We begin aboard the Eltarian Command Ship, where Zartus tells Captain Zowren to torture a member of his crew in front of Zelya to force her to reveal the location of Savehaven. The Captain isn’t a fan of this plan, but would rather choose a crew member than allow himself to be tortured. Fortunately, this plan is shelved when a surge of tachyon particles are detected in the ship. It turns out to be Jason, Trini, and Zordon in his new body suit, who quickly takes care of the guards on his own.

At the ruins of Promethea, Matt and Zack are unable to open the heavy door to a secure bunker, so Matt morphs. While this does allow him to slice the door with his Dragon Dagger and free Grace, it also allows everyone’s favorite Eltarian quartet, the Sentry Force Four, to detect them. They announce their presence by shooting Tommy in the back. They quickly take out Matt as well, leaving Grace and 2 Rangers to deal with the SFF.

Back on the Command Ship, Kimberly and Finster use Finster’s new putties to rescue Zelya. Meanwhile, Zordon, Jason, and Trini are confronted by Zartus and his guards. After a quick exchange of words, Zartus orders his soldiers to attack before teleporting away. The heroes are outnumbered, and Jason takes some damage, but Zordon has no plans to lose today. He orders Jason and Trini to follow Zartus to Earth so they can get the Celesial Shard, while he stays behind to cripple the ship.

Back at Promethea, Aisha and Zack have morphed, but are outmatched by the SFF, leaving Grace, with Matt’s Dragon Dagger, as the only one to protect the unconscious Tommy and Matt. As she activates the Dagger, Kimberly, Rocky, Adam, Billy, Squatt, Baboo, Goldar, and Zelya teleport in. Thanks to careful planning, and intel from Zelya, the heroes take down the SFF fairly quickly. Zelya tries to convince Zeta to help her end this war, but Zartus arrives with the Empyreals, planning on not just returning the Earth to a primordial state, but completely destroying it. That’s when Tommy, Matt, and the 4 Omega Rangers teleport in with their Zords!

Meanwhile, at the remains of the moon palace, Zordon, having apparently finished crippling the Command Ship, begins searching for the Caves of Deception to recover the Zeo Crystal. Unfortunately, he’s confronted by Lord Zedd, who claims that he has been waiting for this moment his entire life.

Story – 5 out of 5: This issue really amped things up. The good guys finally start winning, and Zordon gets to go into battle with the Rangers. Zordon on the moon was a bit abrupt, and as soon as it was identified as the site of the moon palace, it was pretty obvious this would be where Zedd would return. Hopefully we get to learn how he survived.

Art – 5 out of 5: Francisco Mortarino’s art is great as always. Kinetic but clear, and everyone stays on model. To me, the only downside is his rendition of Lord Zedd. It looks a little off to me. Still good, and threatening, but not quite right.

Overall – 5 out of 5: Great chapter of this storyline with everything seemingly hitting on all cylinders. Get wait for the next chapter!
